1. Mowing is powerless
Remove and clean the air filter. If it cannot be cleaned, replace it. Check if the blade is sharp, and if it is dull, it needs to be polished. In addition, whether the lawn has thick leaves, if so, the size of the lawn should be increased to reduce the load on the engine.
2. What are the failure reactions of the engine if the oil is changed irregularly?
As the engine working time increases, the amount of waste dissolved in the oil will gradually increase, the color of the oil will gradually deepen and turn black, and the lubrication function will gradually decrease. If the oil is not changed regularly, the lubrication function of the oil will gradually decrease, which will lead to excessive oil consumption, premature engine wear, power loss, until the connecting rod breaks and the engine is scrapped. The oil change time should be 50 hours. If the engine operates in a high-temperature or dusty environment, the oil change time should be around 25 hours, or it can be determined by the color of the oil in the oil chamber.
3. Gasoline engine connecting rod fracture or simultaneous cylinder block fracture
Fault manifestation:
The contact surface between the crankshaft and connecting rod is stuck. There are signs of strain on the surface where the connecting rod contacts the crankshaft.
Reason for malfunction: Lack or absence of lubricating oil, resulting in high temperature melting and tearing of the contact surface (inner surface of the connecting rod or even the crankshaft surface).
Fault analysis:
Failure to add lubricating oil (gasoline engine oil), or adding lubricating oil but not in place, or adding lubricating oil in place but using the machine at an improper angle, resulting in oil splashing and the wheel not being able to contact the oil, causing the contact surface between the crankshaft and connecting rod to have no lubricating oil or lack lubricating oil, resulting in a lack of lubrication on the contact surface; The second is no cooling. Normally, at rated operating speed, the crankshaft and connecting rod will bite due to the above reasons within a few minutes, causing the connecting rod to break and the cylinder block to fracture.
Adding counterfeit and inferior engine oil can also cause the above-mentioned problems.
Analysis basis:
(1) All internal combustion engines, crankshafts, and connecting rods that bite or lock up are caused by a lack of engine oil;
(2) Sometimes, if there are no signs of debris in the engine oil stored in the damaged machine, it indicates that there is no engine oil during operation or the amount of engine oil is so low that the splashing wheels cannot reach the level, or the engine oil is added after an accident. The oil added afterwards did not participate in lubrication, so it is still clear and free of debris (the oil is gray black in color);
(3) There is also a situation where, although there is enough oil, when used on slopes greater than 25 degrees, the oil splashes and the wheels cannot reach the oil due to the excessive tilt angle, which can cause the above-mentioned faults or other component strains (or lock up), wear and acceleration.
4. Engine instability
The throttle is in the high position and the air door is in the open state; Loose spark plug wire; Water and dirt entering the fuel system; The air filter is too dirty; Improper adjustment of carburetor; Loose engine fixing screws; The engine crankshaft is bent.
Exclusion method: Lower the throttle switch; Press the outer wire of the spark plug firmly; Clean the fuel tank and refill it with fuel; Clean the air filter or replace the filter element; Readjust the carburetor; Check the engine fixing screws after turning off the engine; Correct the crankshaft or replace it with a new one.
5. The engine cannot be turned off
The installation position of the throttle line on the engine is appropriate; The throttle wire is broken; The throttle is not responsive; The shutdown line cannot be touched.
Exclusion method: Reinstall the throttle cable; Replace the throttle cable with a new one; Drip a small amount of engine oil into the throttle position; Check or replace the extinguishing wire. 6. Spring cannot be started
If the maintenance is not good after winter and it cannot be started in spring, the reasons and countermeasures are as follows:
(1) It is possible that the fuel tank has not been emptied of the previous year's oil, so check if the fuel is qualified fresh oil.
(2) Its function is to discharge the pulse high-voltage electricity sent by the high-voltage wire (nozzle wire), penetrate the air between the two electrodes of the spark plug, generate electric sparks, and ignite the mixed gas in the cylinder. Many cases of unstable idle, shaking, poor acceleration, and insufficient power often result in self stalling during idle, leading to increased fuel and gas consumption. This is due to damage to the spark plug. If the spark plug is dirty, it can be cleaned. If it is severely damaged, it needs to be replaced with the same type of accessory. If ignition is not possible, the gap between the spark plug electrodes can be adjusted. It is 0.6-0.9mm in winter and 0.9-1.0mm in other seasons;
(3) If the fuel of the gasifier was not burned out before it was shut down last year, the gasifier should be cleaned (be sure to ask a professional to clean it);
(4) Send the lawn mower engine carburetor to a professional shop for repair.
